Responsibilities
Sprint Leadership: Facilitate JAD and Sprint sessions, translating complex business needs into technical requirements and managing the product backlog iteratively.
Requirements Management: Lead elicitation, elaboration, and validation of functional and non-functional requirements. Use storyboarding in Azure DevOps and JIRA to document user stories and themes.
Process & Data Modeling: Analyze and map current-state and future-state processes and data models (conceptual and logical) using tools like PowerDesigner.
Modernization Support: Support the transformation of legacy mainframe infrastructure into modern solutions using COTS products such as Oracle Siebel.
Governance & Compliance: Prepare business cases and technical artifacts required for enterprise architecture development and official Digital Service standards.
Quality Assurance: Support development and test teams by reviewing test strategies, managing defect logs in HP ALM (Quality Center), and defining User Acceptance Test (UAT) plans.
Prototyping: Create high-fidelity prototypes and mock-ups to visualize solutions and ensure a user-centric design that complies with AODA standards.
Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of dedicated experience as a Business Analyst, specifically within large-scale, integrated mainframe and mid-tier environments.
Methodologies: Expert knowledge of the SDLC, with proven experience leading sprints in Agile/Iterative environments and managing Waterfall project milestones.
Technical Modeling: Demonstrable experience with Business Object-Oriented Modeling and UML tools/techniques.
Tools: Proficiency in Azure DevOps, JIRA, PowerDesigner, HP ALM, and Microsoft Power BI.
Strong understanding of Company architecture (Zachman framework), I&IT project management frameworks, and Architecture Governance Points.
Communication: Exceptional facilitation and negotiation skills to build consensus among diverse stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
Analytical Skills: Proven ability to conduct feasibility analysis, project scoping, and provide detailed work estimates for complex financial or licensing systems.
