We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to provide comprehensive I&IT business analysis services for complex, enterprise-level initiatives. Responsibilities
Business Analysis Leadership: Conduct end-to-end business analysis for projects to assess problems, define scope, and document technical requirements that satisfy functional and non-functional needs.
Requirements Gathering & Elicitation: Facilitate in-depth workshops (JAD, interviews), conduct stakeholder assessments, and document requirements to create a robust technical framework.
Business Modeling: Develop detailed context diagrams, use cases, use case models, process maps, stakeholder maps, and system diagrams.
Strategic Documentation: Lead the development of business cases, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analysis for I&IT initiatives.
Governance & Standards: Apply re-engineering concepts to promote service delivery improvements; ensure all work aligns with enterprise architecture, standardized project management methodologies, and system development lifecycles.
Traceability & Monitoring: Develop performance measures and traceability matrices to ensure business solutions meet intended goals; manage problem identification and resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
Stakeholder Management: Present technical solutions to diverse audiences, lead vendor response evaluations during RFP processes, and translate technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language.
Qualifications
Experience: Proven experience leading and conducting business analysis for medium-to-large projects, with a strong background in assessing business problems and documenting technical requirements.
Modeling Expertise: Demonstrated success developing context diagrams, use cases/use case models, process maps, stakeholder maps, and system diagrams.
Strategic Analysis: Extensive experience writing comprehensive business cases, conducting options analysis, performing feasibility studies, and developing cost-benefit analyses.
Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), database concepts, user interface design principles, and change management.
Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving capabilities with the ability to translate business and data requirements into specifications for technology solutions.
Methodologies: Familiarity with structured, object-oriented, and agile methodologies; knowledge of industry-standard business analysis tools and techniques.
Soft Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated leadership in facilitating workshops and negotiating with stakeholders at various levels.
Standards Awareness: Knowledge of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and related standards is an asset.
