We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Business Analyst to take technical ownership of the requirements lifecycle and backlog grooming operations for enterprise I&IT initiatives. In this role, you will act as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical engineering teams, looking ahead to anticipate, analyze, and map complex business dependencies. Operating natively within an Agile framework, you will translate abstract operational needs into crisp functional requirements, design secure integration specifications, and establish steady development velocity by ensuring downstream engineering squads have well-documented, audit-ready user stories.

Responsibilities
Forward-Looking Requirements Grooming: Formulate and manage forward-looking delivery pipelines, actively grooming requirements and anticipating system dependencies so that upcoming development items are well-understood, fully documented, and ready for execution.
Agile Product Backlog Stewardship: Own, structure, and continually refine Product Backlog Items (PBIs) within software management ecosystems, communicating scope alterations to Project Managers and Team Leads.
User Story Engineering: Translate convoluted business and functional criteria into concise, high-quality user stories backed by clear acceptance criteria and technical dependency maps.
Stakeholder Elicitation & Workshop Leadership: Conduct deep-dive requirements discovery via Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions, focus groups, user mockups, and structured interviews with cross-functional business stakeholders.
Data & API Integration Modeling: Construct technical integration requirements, mapping API endpoints, data communication paths, and functional logic specifications for decoupled systems.
Relational Database Querying: Write precise SQL data queries to retrieve, profile, and validate back-end data elements, supporting source-to-target mapping and data integrity checks.
Comprehensive Business Modeling: Build vertically integrated conceptual designs, including use case models, business functional models, process flow maps, and non-functional requirements definitions.
Platform Management Custom Tooling: Leverage Azure DevOps to create, monitor, trace, and manage enterprise user stories and task hierarchies through all deployment check-gates.
Feasibility & Architecture Alignment: Perform structural analysis to diagnose operational problems, preparing data-driven business cases, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit assessments aligned with enterprise IT gating standards.
Performance Tracking & Traceability: Develop and enforce requirements traceability matrices and performance metrics to evaluate business analysis outcomes and support post-implementation follow-up.
Qualifications
Enterprise Business Analysis Seniority: 8+ years of progressive professional experience leading full-lifecycle IT business analysis, process re-engineering, and requirements engineering within multi-tier environments.
Agile Methodologies Specialization: Strong practical experience operating within Agile development lifecycles, with proven success assembling complex user needs into highly coherent, sprint-ready user stories (Strictly Required).
Backlog Engineering Depth: Demonstrated background looking ahead to prioritize, groom, and refine Product Backlog Items (PBIs) inside mature development pipelines (Strictly Required).
Azure DevOps Tool Stack Fluency: Direct, hands-on experience structuring, tracking, and maintaining user stories and requirements traceability matrices natively within Azure DevOps (Strictly Required).
Technical Integration & API Literacy: Proven capability defining technical requirements for API designs, system integrations, and cross-platform communication boundaries.
Relational Database Prowess: Practical capability writing SQL queries to extract, profile, and validate data tables across relational enterprise systems.
Structured Modeling Mastery: Advanced proficiency utilizing CASE modeling tools or diagram software (such as Visio or PowerDesigner) to map out business functional models and end-to-end data process flows.
Soft Skills: Superior consultative communication, negotiation, and relationship-management capabilities, with an established record of explaining systems development options to technical engineers and non-technical business clients alike.
Nice to Have:
Prior professional experience delivering business architecture models or navigating formal architecture gating reviews within a highly regulated corporate framework or public sector infrastructure.
Working knowledge of digital inclusion regulations and information management principles (such as AODA or WCAG standards).
