Responsibilities
•Design, develop, and maintain data integration workflows, including extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from multiple sources such as REQ, ONBIS, CIPO, LinkedIn, and government datasets.
•Design and optimize database structures, leveraging advanced SQL to create, update, and manage tables, views, stored procedures, fields, and indexes.
•Develop logical and physical data models to consolidate and harmonize supplier and client data.
•Perform data quality checks and audits, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across systems.
•Leverage advanced text analysis techniques (including fuzzy matching algorithms) to identify trends, detect patterns, and resolve duplicate or similar records.
•Administer databases, including auditing, backup/restore, optimization, and performance profiling.
•Utilize cloud-based data tools such as Azure Data Factory to process and integrate large, complex datasets.
•Support BI reporting and analytics by working with tools such as Business Objects and Power BI.
•Collaborate with Agile development teams (SCRUM) to deliver CRM and BI-related enhancements and solutions.
•Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and design scalable data solutions aligned with business needs.
•Create documentation, deliver training sessions, and conduct demonstrations for clients and developers.
•Apply version control best practices using Git, including branching strategies, code reviews, and collaborative workflow management.
Qualifications
•5+ years in database administration (MS SQL Server or Oracle), including performance tuning, security, and backup/recovery.
•5+ years developing Transact-SQL scripts for ETL, data transformation, and optimization.
•5+ years using Azure DevOps or JIRA in Agile environments.
•1+ year working with Git (branching, code reviews, workflows).
•Strong skills in SQL, ETL, data warehousing, and cloud platforms (Azure Data Factory).
•Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Business Objects) and text analysis (fuzzy matching).
•Knowledge of data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
•Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written).
