topologies to protect and monitor Ontario's secure health identity service (ONE ID). Operating across multi-data center environments and hybrid cloud structures, you will lead the strategic upgrade of enterprise telemetry engines from 13c to Oracle 24ai, build advanced active-active high-availability frameworks, and establish strict transport-layer security boundaries to safeguard Protected Health Information (PHI).
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid - Up to 5 days onsite, subject to hiring manager's discretion)
Duration: 6-month contract.
Advantages
High-Stakes Identity Command: Secure absolute technical design ownership over the premier, high-security identity framework protecting access to Ontario's patient data.
Pioneering Telemetry Horizon: Lead an elite technology migration track, graduating enterprise monitoring models directly into modern Oracle 24ai intelligence systems.
Advanced Resiliency Portfolio: Expand your professional profile by implementing multi-site, active-active high-availability data topologies and modern container orchestration (OpenShift).
Consensus-Driven Technical Impact: Drive architectural direction as a trusted advisor, bridging communication across network, identity, and database engineering groups.
Responsibilities
Enterprise Infrastructure Engineering: Lead the modeling, design, and end-to-end implementation of secure, scalable Oracle infrastructure solutions, transforming conceptual blueprints into verifiable logical and physical application architectures.
Telemetry Modernization & Upgrades: Partner with core engineering squads to design, configure, and execute the structural platform upgrade of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) from version 13c to 24ai.
Performance Architecture & Diagnostics: Programmatically construct automated monitoring metrics, deep-packet system telemetry, and corresponding threshold alert criteria within the OEM suite to optimize system reliability.
Active-Active Infrastructure Design: Architect, test, and deploy resilient, multi-data center active-active configurations to ensure zero-downtime failover and seamless platform data replication.
Security & PKI Governance: Enforce strict perimeter defense mechanisms across Single Sign-On (SSO) transaction routes, configuring advanced TLS/SSL cryptographic parameters, certificate pinning, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) layouts.
Multi-Platform Integration: Manage complex data routing, directory schema extensions, and application linkage patterns across Oracle 19c databases, Oracle Unified Directory (OUD), Oracle Access Manager (OAM), and Microsoft Active Directory.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary technical authority aligning Database Administrators (DBAs), Red Hat OpenShift engineering squads, and network security divisions to execute clean systems migrations.
Technical Documentation & Runbooks: Author detailed physical architecture schemas, low-level deployment manuals, structural integration guides, and clear options analysis papers for executive stakeholder boards.
Qualifications
Core Solution Engineering Seniority: Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on professional experience serving as a Lead Solution Engineer, Infrastructure Architect, or Systems Specialist explicitly dedicated to the Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) software stack.
OEM 13c Development Specialization: 3+ years of dedicated technical experience developing within 13c OEM environments, with a verified background in custom performance profiling, log auditing, and programmatic alerting configuration.
Oracle Database Integration Depth: 3+ years of direct, practical experience engineering and optimization within Oracle database environments (including Oracle 19c/12c lines).
Multi-Site High-Availability Acumen: 5+ years of verified professional experience designing, setting up, and provisioning active-active multi-data center configurations and high-availability clustered architectures.
SSO Cryptography Mastery: Advanced, practical understanding of TLS/SSL network bindings and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) lifecycle management within complex Single Sign-On (SSO) application structures.
Architectural Artifact Generation: Outstanding capability to translate abstract business models into clear logical and physical documentation, design specs, and infrastructure build guides.
Soft Skills: Exceptional consultative communication and analytical presentation skills, with a track record of articulating complex architectural bottlenecks and option paths to both technical engineering squads and non-technical managers.
Highly Desirable Assets:
Hands-on container virtualization experience utilizing Red Hat OpenShift or migrating enterprise infrastructure into AWS cloud infrastructure landing zones.
Familiarity with the broader Oracle Identity Access Management suite (OAM, OUD, OIM, OAAM) and Microsoft Active Directory.
Operational background delivering updates within structured Agile development sprints via Jira and Confluence tracking.
