We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Project Manager/Leader for an enterprise-level contract opportunity based in Toronto. As a principal project leader, you will bridge the gap between executive stakeholders, multidisciplinary technology squads, external vendor partners, and operational business units. Operating within a hybrid work model, you will establish detailed integrated project plans, manage complex financial channels, mitigate project risks, and ensure solutions meet business requirements while adhering to established project management frameworks.

Assignment Type: Hybrid (Occasional onsite)
Contract Duration: 8 months

Responsibilities
Provide overarching project management for large-scale, complex, high-profile IT initiatives, ensuring deliverables meet business objectives within scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
Lead organizational development, strategic planning, business case formulation, and formal funding requests.
Develop and maintain detailed integrated project schedules, resource plans, and scope baselines aligned with enterprise delivery standards.
Establish and manage complex multi-channel project budgets, executing strict fiscal control, cost forecasting, estimates, and financial reconciliations.
Source, onboard, and direct multidisciplinary team members across technical, operational, and consulting disciplines, clarifying roles and setting performance expectations.
Manage vendor engagements, professional services contracts, and vendor deliverables to guarantee quality and contractual compliance.
Proactively identify, prioritize, and articulate technical and operational risks to senior executives, formulating targeted mitigation strategies.
Establish and facilitate steering committee forums, stakeholder working groups, and governance review boards.
Deliver comprehensive project status reports, executive presentations, briefing notes, and governance materials to senior stakeholders.
Lead change management strategies to drive business adoption, overcome organizational resistance, and promote project management best practices.
Manage client relationships and functional dependencies, resolving resource conflicts and ensuring seamless knowledge transfer across teams.
Qualifications
Core Requirements & Project Leadership Experience
Multidisciplinary Delivery Management: Demonstrated senior experience managing multi-disciplinary projects involving technology, business operations, external vendors, and executive stakeholders.
Governance & PM Methodologies: Strong knowledge of formal project management methodologies (such as PMBOK), governance frameworks, and delivery best practices.
Vendor & Contract Management: Proven experience managing vendor relationships, professional services engagements, and contractual deliverables.
Executive Artifacts & Reporting: Extensive experience authoring executive presentations, status reports, briefing notes, governance packages, and business cases.
Budgetary & Fiscal Oversight: Demonstrated ability to manage large, multi-channel project budgets, financial forecasts, and cost reconciliations.
Stakeholder Management & Facilitation: Exceptional communication, facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, with a track record of driving alignment at executive levels.
Preferred Assets
Public Sector Context: Prior experience working within public sector or regulated government environments is preferred.
Standards Awareness: Knowledge of Information Management principles, record practices, and accessibility standards (such as AODA).
