Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite as needed basis)
Duration: 6-month contract.
Advantages
Modern Healthcare Integration Stack: Hands-on engineering using Java Spring Boot, HAPI FHIR (R4/DSTU2), NextGen Connect (Mirth), and ReactJS.
End-to-End Security Focus: Implement industry-standard security protocols, including OAuth 2.0, mTLS, and containerized Docker deployments.

FHIR Resource Processing: Implement the HAPI FHIR library to parse, validate, transform, and process FHIR R4 and DSTU2 resources across backend workflows.
Message Channel & Integration Engineering: Build, configure, and maintain NextGen Connect (Mirth) channels to ingest, transform, validate, route, and acknowledge HL7 v2 clinical data streams.
Subscription & Preference Logic: Develop ReactJS user interfaces that enable clinical users to configure data preferences, translating user selections into valid pub/sub subscription filter criteria.
Security & Containerization: Implement secure service-to-service communication using OAuth 2.0, mutual TLS (mTLS), audit logging, and role-based access controls, while packaging services into Docker containers.
Quality Assurance & Testing Automation: Create and execute unit, integration, interface, conformance, and end-to-end regression test suites covering HL7 v2, FHIR, pub/sub, and ReactJS components.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with architects, UX designers, security leads, QA teams, and external technical partners to define technical specifications, deployment runbooks, and interface mappings.
Qualifications
