ming multi-service practitioner workflows into streamlined, automated transactional pipelines. Operating at the intersection of business workflow modernization and complex relational database architectures, you will eliminate redundant data collection layers, write secure data-driven server-side logic, and build integrated profile tools that elevate the user experience across the organization.
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid - Up to 5 days onsite, subject to hiring manager's discretion)
Duration: 8-month contract.

Responsibilities
Remedy Architecture & Custom Engineering: Lead the full-lifecycle design, development, and unit testing of custom, data-driven workflow solutions within Remedy ARS and core BMC ITSM v9+ server environments.
Intake Process Automation: Programmatically orchestrate the intake and onboarding architecture, consolidating multiple disparate service requests into unified, dynamic data capture forms.
Backend Data & API Integration: Configure and manage backend schema models, database objects, and web service integrations (REST/SOAP API) to securely bridge Remedy components with external identity or profile systems.
Requirements Deconstruction: Independently analyze, clarify, and map abstract stakeholder business requirements into airtight functional specifications and low-level technical programming models.
Database & Advanced Querying: Write, optimize, and execute complex SQL scripts, data views, and structural indexes across relational database architectures to maximize transaction execution speeds.
Enterprise Reporting Engineering: Design, build, and deploy automated management reports and operational telemetry metrics leveraging Smart Reporting and SSRS environments.
Quality Assurance & Code Review: Establish rigid unit testing criteria and conduct thorough peer code reviews to ensure all configurations respect strict secure coding principles and design standards.
Cross-Functional Design Facilitation: Run structural design walkthroughs alongside experience optimization teams and support multi-disciplinary technical squads in a matrixed project delivery setting.
Documentation & Release Support: Author complete developer reference manuals, system data flow topologies, product installation deployment scripts, and clear promotion runbooks for post-implementation support.
Qualifications
Core Platform Seniority: Minimum of 8+ years of progressive, hands-on professional experience developing, customizing, and engineering enterprise applications using Remedy ARS Development.
BMC ITSM Suite Mastery: 8+ years of dedicated technical experience working directly with background data schemas and advanced BMC ITSM v9+ software modules.
Requirements Engineering Acumen: 8+ years of proven expertise mapping abstract business requirements into precise, testable functional specifications and technical designs.
Quality Assurance Leadership: 8+ years of verified professional experience conducting technical peer code reviews and designing robust unit-testing matrices.
Database & Query Literacy: 3+ years of direct, practical experience writing and tuning relational database queries using SQL.
Advanced Reporting Toolkit: 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and generating operational dashboards using Smart Reporting and SSRS.
API Integration Experience: 4+ years of practical technical exposure integrating Remedy platform solutions with external Web Services and APIs.
Public Sector Mandate: Proven professional experience delivering enterprise IT software solutions within a Canadian public sector framework or law/health agency is strictly required.
Soft Skills: Exceptional consultative communication and relationship-building skills, with an established history of coordinating with cross-functional product owners and navigating Jira-managed sprint delivery cycles.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or an approved equivalent combination of education and senior professional platform engineering experience.
