We are seeking a Senior Systems Analyst with over 10 years of experience to lead the technical design, architecture, and implementation of complex I&IT solutions. Responsibilities
- Lead the development and documentation of system architectures. Prepare critical architecture artifacts, including reverse-engineering physical data models to create Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs).
- Perform conceptual, logical, and physical database modeling. Design complex applications utilizing both relational and multidimensional structures (Facts, Dimensions, and Cubes).
- Direct projects through all stages of the SDLC, from feasibility studies and cost-effective analyses to implementation and post-implementation support.
- Facilitate Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions, conduct workshops, and translate business needs into precise technical specifications.
- Manage the integration of diverse systems, ensuring interoperability between new and legacy applications.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases. Oversee unit, integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Prepare Threat, Risk, and Assessment (TRA) artifacts to ensure system security. Ensure all web-based solutions meet AODA/WCAG 2.0 Level AA compliance.
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to junior analysts, establishing performance criteria and controlling the quality of development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in Systems Analysis and Design within large-scale, complex business environments.
- Extensive hands-on experience in logical, physical, and conceptual modeling, ERD creation, and metadata reporting.
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Knowledge of middleware, gateways, and multidimensional structures (cubes).
- Proven track record in running JAD sessions, gathering requirements, and managing UAT.
- 10+ years of experience eliciting requirements and interpreting business needs for technical teams.
- Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.0 Level AA and accessibility compliance principles.
- Familiarity with enterprise standards (e.g., GO-ITS) and architecture within public sector frameworks is highly preferred.
