As a Shop Labor/ Forklift Operator, you will work under the direction of the Shop Supervisor to ensure that all gas and diesel welders, generators, and plasma cutters are in peak condition for customer use. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a hands-on manufacturing & logistics environment and takes pride in the quality of their work.
What you need to know:
Location: Maple Ridge (closer to Pitt Meadows)
Pay rate: $25 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Overtime availble (No Weekends)
Temproray on-going until further notice (long term)
SDCB Forklift is a must
Transit friendly however vehicle preffered due to start time

Responsibilities
Operate a forklift and pallet jack safely to relocate heavy machinery within the shop.
Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks using a forklift in a timely manner.
Repaint parts and apply decals to welders and generators to maintain a professional appearance.
Communicate effectively and regularly with all members of the branch team.
Execute other operational and shop duties as required to support the manufacturing & logistics team.
Perform preventative maintenance on various types of industrial and electrical equipment.
Inspect returned equipment thoroughly to identify and document any damage caused by customer use.
Qualifications
Must possess a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
Proven ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack in a warehouse or shop setting, must hold a valid Forklift certification. SDCB - 5000 lbs
Demonstrated experience in warehouse shipping, receiving, and forklift operation.
Physical ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized working environment.
Reliability and a strong work ethic suitable for a full-time manufacturing & logistics role.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for composing clear shop documents
