social responsibility making the world a better place

We take pride in matching employees with employers, but our commitment to society does not stop there. We shape the future world of work by sharing our knowledge and experiences with everyone involved in the sector. We believe the value of work is a unifying force that will shape society for the better.

making a difference

Through the foundation, Randstad employees across Canada are given the opportunity, through financial generosity and volunteer commitment, to enhance and support various charitable organizations. Our aim is to ensure Randstad employees are able to see that their efforts are really making an impact, that it’s not just the donations we make, but the time and effort we spend that makes a real difference.

partnership with CUSO

Randstad has a far-reaching partnership with CUSO (formally known as VSO), a non-governmental organization. This partnership is keeping up with Randstad’s long-standing commitment to corporate social responsibility and our desire to help alleviate poverty on a global scale. CUSO matches volunteers’ skills with community needs in the developing world.

By borrowing from Randstad’s core competencies and having access to our network, CUSO can further stimulate positive social change. Commitment to the partnership is international, and many countries have hosted events and initiated activities that have helped raise awareness of CUSO. Currently, more than 50 initiatives are under way throughout Randstad to support this partnership.

the breakfast club of canada

We partnered with the Breakfast Club of Canada, to make a positive change in the lives of Canadian families. Randstad provides financial support and volunteers every week to serve breakfasts in schools associated with the project. Volunteers from Randstad even operate 100% one of the clubs. We also help Breakfast Clubs of Canada recruit volunteers and organize events.

jennifer ashleigh children’s charity

JACC helps chronically and seriously ill children and their families when funding agencies can't address their immediate or pressing needs. This organization is unique in the children’s charity arena in that it is not illness or disease specific – that is, it is not affiliated with any one illness-centric charity, but assists children from birth to 21 years of age based solely on need.

sky’s the limit

Sky’s The Limit (STL) is dedicated to addressing the widening digital divide in Canada by providing students with access to tools and resources to pursue opportunities and possibilities available online. With funds generated through last year’s Randstad Charity Auction, STL branched out into a First Nations community in Ontario, contributing computers to this severely underserviced group.

ride for myriam

In 2014, Myriam Laaouan, a Randstad Canada employee, passed away after a battle with Leukemia. Myriam has been an inspiration to our team. To show support, Randstad Canada holds an annual cycling tour from Montreal to Boston. Cancer affects us all, and Ride for Myriam allows us to collect funds for cancer research while honoring the memory of one of your own.
