This is a vital leadership role designed for a proactive problem-solver who can manage people, processes, and productivity to ensure every route leaves the dock on time and in perfect condition.
As the Night Warehouse Supervisor, you will lead a diverse team of selectors, loaders, and forklift operators in a multi-temperature environment, acting as the final line of defense for quality and service before the trucks hit the road.
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Location: Balzac, AB
Schedule: Night Shift 9-hour shifts (Overtime as required)
Environment: Food Service Distribution (Ambient, Refrigerated, and Freezer zones)
Wage: Salary - $60,000 - $80,000 per year (depending on certification and experience)

Responsibilities
What will you be doing?
- Operational Leadership: Maintain a constant floor presence to monitor productivity, remove bottlenecks, and ensure the shift meets all service levels.
- Route & Order Flow: Verify route readiness and oversee the order-dropping sequence to ensure outbound execution is seamless.
- Exception Management: Own the "billing discipline" by identifying and correcting shortages, damages, and inventory discrepancies before routes are cleared.
- Quality & Compliance: Conduct spot checks for scan compliance and ensure stable pallet builds and proper food safety/rotation discipline.
- Team Development: Coach associates in real-time on selection pace, safety, and equipment handling; support onboarding and performance management.
- Shift Hand-off: Ensure a clean transition by providing the morning management team with detailed status reports on labor, exceptions, and equipment.
Qualifications
What are we looking for in a candidate?
- Experience: Previous supervisory or "Lead" experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment (Food Service or Grocery preferred).
- Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and operational reporting.
- Operational Savvy: Deep understanding of picking, loading, replenishment, and outbound route control.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in multi-temperature zones (Ambient, Cooler, and Freezer) and available for night/weekend/holiday shifts.
- Leadership: A proven track record of making high-pressure decisions and holding teams accountable to safety and "zero-harm" standards.
