Responsibilities
The Data Entry Specialist's primary function is the accurate processing and documentation of sensitive financial transaction data:
Accurate Data Processing: Complete all required fields in specialized regulatory reporting forms (equivalent to the Suspicious Transaction Report or STR) for submission to the Canadian financial intelligence regulator (equivalent to FINTRAC).
Compliance Adherence: Ensure all reporting is complete, accurate, and consistent with internal guidelines and external regulatory requirements for disclosures.
Collaboration: Work closely with Internal Investigation Teams to ensure disclosures are processed within strict regulatory deadlines and comply with relevant internal policies.
Workflow Management: Manage daily work assignments, typically received via email from a Senior Manager, ensuring a high-volume workload is completed efficiently and on schedule.
Policy Support: Promote, support, and adhere to all internal corporate policies and guidelines related to the Code of Conduct, Data Protection, and Information Security.
Internal Partnership: Collaborate effectively with various internal partners to resolve discrepancies and finalize documentation.
Qualifications
Prior, dedicated data entry experience (1–3 years).
Previous background or experience within the finance or banking sector.
Exceptional Attention to Detail: Essential skill for ensuring the accurate and complete reporting of complex transaction details.
Technical Proficiency: Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel.
Organizational Acumen: Superior time management and organizational skills required to manage a high-volume workload and consistently meet established processing benchmarks.
Communication: Strong oral communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams.
