In this Bilingual Call Centre Collections role, you will be the primary point of contact for clients across Canada. Because our client serves a diverse national portfolio, fluency in both English and French is essential. You will spend your day alternating between both languages to ensure all customers receive clear, empathetic, and professional support regarding their mortgage obligations. This position requires a balance of firm negotiation and compassionate problem-solving to mitigate risk while maintaining positive client relations.

Responsibilities
• Manage a portfolio of delinquent residential mortgage accounts through outbound and inbound calls.
• Identify the root causes of financial hardship and recommend appropriate loss mitigation options.
• Ensure all collection activities comply with federal and provincial regulations as well as internal policies.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all client interactions within the IVR system
• Collaborate with the legal and foreclosure departments when accounts reach advanced stages of default.
• Provide exceptional service in both English and French
Qualifications
• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in collections
• Completion of post-secondary education preferred
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet, professional home office space.
• Flexibility to work various shifts within the call centre's hours of operation.
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills in both English and French.
• Analytical thinking
• High level of empathy and emotional intelligence
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high productivity levels.
• Ability to work regular business hours and some evenings
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite with Excel or Googe Suite with sheets
