Responsibilities
The ROLE will support the implementation and roll-out of a Portfolio and Project Management solution for the PPMO branch.
The Analyst will support the planning, execution, and governance of the organization’s project portfolio. They ensure projects align with strategic goals, track performance, and provide insights that help leadership make informed decisions.
Qualifications
1. Analytical & Reporting Skills
Ability to analyze project and portfolio data
Strong understanding of KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
Ability to identify trends, risks, and resource constraints
2. Project Portfolio Management Expertise
Understanding of project lifecycle methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid)
Knowledge of portfolio governance processes
Familiarity with resource planning, capacity management, and prioritization frameworks
Ability to support PMO processes and standards
3. Technical & Tool Proficiency
Common tools include:
PPM platforms (e.g., MS Project Online, Planner, Project for the Web and other M365 Tools)
Collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, Jira)
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, modeling)
4. Communication & Stakeholder Management
Ability to translate complex data into clear insights
Strong written and verbal communication
Experience working with project managers, executives, and cross-functional teams
Skilled at facilitating meetings and stakeholder reviews
Skilled at facilitating training sessions
5. Process & Governance
Ability to maintain project intake processes
Support for portfolio prioritization and scoring models
Ensuring compliance with PMO standards
Maintaining documentation and audit readiness
