As a Mechanical Assembler, you will play a vital role in the production of complex mobile units, ensuring every truck body and shredder assembly meets rigorous standards for durability and efficiency. This role is ideal for a Mechanical Assembler who takes pride in high-quality workmanship and possesses a deep understanding of mechanical and hydraulic equipment. You will be responsible for building and assembling truck bodies, performing precise hydraulic hose assembly, and conducting final quality assurance sign-offs.
In this manufacturing and logistics environment, you will use your expertise to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings and schematics. Our client values the Mechanical Assembler who brings 3 to 5 years of specialized experience in hydraulic assembly and a proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges. Responsibilities
• Build and assemble truck bodies and specialized mobile equipment according to specifications.
• Perform complex mechanical assembly of multiple truck body components.
• Measure, align, drill, bolt, screw, and rivet various components with high precision.
• Assemble mechanical and hydraulic equipment, including comprehensive hydraulic hose assembly.
• Read and accurately interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and hydraulic schematics.
• Use hand and power tools safely, including drills, taps, saws, and levels.
• Conduct QA sign-offs to ensure all completed tasks meet quality standards.
• Track job time and complete daily timecards accurately.
• Perform service projects and repairs as requested by the shop foreman.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following all safety protocols.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 1 years of experience in hydraulic assembly
• Proven ability to read and understand hydraulic schematics.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent vocational training in a related field.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.
• Commitment to safety and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Reliable transportation to the job location in Kitchener, ON.
