Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Process Mapping: Conduct in-depth analyses of business processes, workflows, and systems, creating detailed documentation including process flows, data models, and system diagrams.
Requirements Elicitation: Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, user stories, use cases, and functional specifications through interviews, workshops, and surveys.
Backlog Management & Prioritization: Define, manage, and prioritize product backlogs to align development deliverables with strategic goals and business value.
Agile Lifecycle Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering and QA teams during sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives, breaking down high-level requirements into actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) & Quality Assurance: Oversee UAT execution to verify that implemented solutions meet defined business requirements, functional specifications, and quality baselines.
Stakeholder Alignment & Facilitation: Act as the primary liaison between business leads and technical squads, driving consensus, facilitating decision-making, and resolving conflicting priorities.
Continuous Process Improvement: Perform gap analyses on existing operational models and track post-launch performance metrics to identify ongoing optimization opportunities.
Qualifications
Business Analysis & Product Ownership Seniority: 5 to 7 years of combined professional experience operating as a Business Analyst and/or Product Owner (Strictly Required).
Analytical Problem-Solving: 5 to 7 years of demonstrated analytical skills with a proven capability to break down complex operational challenges into clear technical components (Strictly Required).
Communication & Facilitation Mastery: Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills to engage diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively (Strictly Required).
Self-Directed Autonomy: Strong ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and initiate tasks proactively (Strictly Required).
Domain Experience: Hands-on experience delivering IT software solutions within public sector environments, transit operations, or bus services (including dispatch, scheduling, or fleet management).
Agile Tooling & Methodologies: Practical fluency with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and enterprise management software (Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Nice-to-Have Assets:
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CBAP, CSPO).
Familiarity with data analysis tools, UX/UI design principles, or digital accessibility standards.
