Responsibilities
Lead recruitment, selection, onboarding, and retention initiatives, including working with hiring managers to evaluate applicants and posting job adverts.
Manage human resource policies, procedures, and programs while ensuring compliance with employment legislation, SOX, and the OH&S Act. Maintain accurate employee records, update the employee handbook, and prepare HR reports, KPIs, and management presentations.
Conduct market research on wages to ensure salary bands are competitive and advise management on compensation for new hires and promotions.
Manage, monitor, and track training and development plans, as well as the onboarding program for new employees.
Provide guidance and support to management regarding employee relations, HR policy interpretations, and staffing affairs.
Coordinate Joint Health & Safety meetings, manage safety incidents, report to WSIB when required, and monitor PPE reimbursement.
Act as the ADP Administrator by checking timecards daily, processing new hires and terminations, and managing salary/wage changes.

Qualifications
At least 2-3 years of HR experience.
Post-secondary degree or Diploma in HR.
System knowledge of ADP or similar payroll systems.
Knowledge of provincial and federal employment laws, human rights, workplace health and safety, and HR best practices.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and HRIS systems.
Advanced Excel skills are an asset.
Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical reasoning abilities.
