Position Overview
Compensation: $26.50 – $38.00 / hour (Based on experience and apprentice year)
Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Location: Leduc, AB
Type: Full-time, Permanent Placement

Responsibilities
- Primary duty involves the structural repair, rebuilding, and hard-facing of industrial augers and related drilling equipment.
- Set up and operate welding equipment utilizing SMAW (Stick) processes to strict technical specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and weld symbols accurately.
- Perform necessary prep work including grinding, cutting components with plasma/torches, and fitting parts prior to welding.
- Ensure all completed work aligns with CWB and internal corporate quality assurance standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment, actively participating in daily safety meetings.
Qualifications
- Certification: Active CWB certification in SMAW is mandatory.
- Experience: Prior hands-on experience in a heavy industrial, manufacturing, or oilfield service shop environment is a must. Proven experience specific to repairing augers is highly preferred.
- Apprenticeship Status: Currently registered as a 2nd or 3rd year apprentice welder.
- Safety Compliance: Must be able to successfully pass a comprehensive pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
- Availability: Must be locally based or willing to commute to Leduc daily, and ready to start within the next 2 weeks.
