We are recruiting a licensed 310J Trailer Mechanic for a top-tier heavy transport and custom trailer manufacturer in the Durham Region.

This is not a high-turnover fleet oil-change shop.
You will handle full-scope mechanical buildouts, pneumatic/hydraulic system installations, and structural repairs on custom commercial trailers and heavy equipment.
Advantages

Predictable hours with early Friday finishes and optional weekend overtime.
Stable, long-tenured shop floor where supervisors average 10–20 years with the business.

Responsibilities
Install, inspect, and troubleshoot commercial trailer air brake systems (ABS/EBS), suspensions, and axles.
Wire and test 12V electrical harnesses, tail lights, and junction boxes on new custom builds.
Assemble hydraulic wet lines, PTO systems, and cylinders for specialized trailers and live-bottom units.
Perform annual safety inspections, structural mechanical PMs, and pre-delivery sign-offs.
Execute minor MIG/Stick welding touch-ups and bracket fabrication as needed.
Qualifications
Licensed 310J
6+ years of direct hands-on experience working on heavy commercial trailers or transport equipment.
Fluent in air brake schematics, 12V electrical diagnostics, and hydraulic fluid systems.
Own complete set of hand/pneumatic tools; comfortable working at heights with fall protection.
