Responsibilities
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with both customers and vendors to ensure business success and client satisfaction.
- Manage inventory effectively, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of all products within the warehouse.
- Oversee daily operations and actively collaborate with a small, dynamic team to ensure operational efficiency.
- Travel periodically to vendor locations, both domestically and internationally, to assess product quality and manufacturing processes. (15-20%)
- Handle all aspects of pricing and costing for customer accounts.
- Working onsite Monday to Friday 8-4:30
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Account Manager or Sales Representative in the steel industry.
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain key relationships with both vendors and clients.
- Exceptional communication skills, with a proactive and analytical approach to problem-solving.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate with many different personalities
- A "go-getter" attitude with the capacity to learn from mistakes and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in creating sales invoices and lading documents when necessary.
- Must be open to both domestic and potential global travel to meet with vendors.
