Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an Accountant/Senior Bookkeeper to their team. This individual will manage client relationships, oversee junior staff, and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting by handling full-cycle bookkeeping, month-end closes, and tax filings.

Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of clients, performing full-cycle bookkeeping including
accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
Own the month-end close process for your clients. Preparing reconciliations,
posting journal entries, and getting files to the review-ready stage on time.
Prepare GST/HST returns and ensure filings are accurate and submitted on
schedule.
Communicate directly with clients and their team members to gather source
documents, clarify transactions, and keep files moving.
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for client review.
Collaborate with senior staff during the review process, responding to notes and
applying feedback to improve file quality over time.
Support onboarding of new clients, including setting up their file and getting
familiar with their chart of accounts and workflows.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is considered
an asset.
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, including hands-on work with AP, AR,
payroll, and full-cycle accounting.
- You can manage a busy portfolio of client files without dropping the ball, and
have experience in an accounting firm. Organization and attention to detail are
non-negotiable.
- Strong experience managing month-end close and preparing financial statements
- Solid technical accounting knowledge and practical application skills
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and Sage 50
- Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)
- Strong communication skills and ability to build trusted client relationships
