Responsibilities
• Manage full-cycle Accounts Receivable including generating customer invoices, collection follow-ups, and processing customer remittances accurately.
• Oversee Accounts Payable by entering vendor invoices, verifying credit card expenses, issuing payments, and executing job costing allocations.
• Process employee timesheets, prepare and distribute paycheques, and file all statutory source deduction remittances on schedule.
• Complete monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, prepare financial reporting, perform job profitability analysis, and post monthly accruals.
• Prepare and submit government remittances including HST/GST, WSIB premiums, EHT, corporate tax installments, and group RRSP contributions.
• Coordinate employee expense claims, mileage reimbursements, gas card distribution, 407 ETR tracking, and fleet support administrative tasks.
• Manage daily office operations, including inbound and outbound mail, electronic invoice filing, office supply inventories, and general inquiries.
• Leverage modern software and AI tools to streamline administrative workflows and automate repetitive bookkeeping processes.
Qualifications
• 2 to 5 years of hands-on accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll administration experience required.
• Post-secondary college diploma or university degree in business, accounting, economics, or a related discipline preferred.
• Prior experience working within the skilled trades, industrial contracting, or construction sectors is considered a strong asset.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada full-time and reside near or be willing to commute to Guelph, ON.
