As an Accountant, you will be responsible for recording and reconciling accounting entries, preparing financial statements, and supporting key year-end processes. This hybrid role offers both collaborative in-office work and flexible remote days.
This is an 8-month contract in Burlington, Ontario (2-3 days in person).

Responsibilities
-Record daily accounting entries in the General Ledger
-Assist with inventory movement recording and tracking
-Conduct monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations
-Support the preparation and submission of the bi-monthly financial statements
-Assist in the preparation of year-end statutory financial statements
-Compile and maintain supporting schedules for year-end reporting
-Coordinate and support external audits, including KPMG audit procedures
-Perform variance analysis and assist in financial reporting
-Take on various related accounting and administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications
MUST HAVE
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting
-3-5 years of Accounting Experience
-Solid understanding of basic financial statements: Trial Balance, Income Statement, and Balance Sheet
-Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with general accounting systems
NICE TO HAVE
-Exposure to audit preparation or financial statement preparation
-Previous experience with retail and inventory validation
-Accounting designation (completed or in progress)
