Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing and payments
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure all financial data is current and precise.
- Perform data entry tasks with a high degree of accuracy to ensure the integrity of the general ledger.
- Reviewing and processing employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies
- Assist and support senior finance & accounting staff with month-end and year- end closing duties
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of prior experience as an Accounting Clerk or a similar role.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is an asset.
- Post secondary education or a diploma in Accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
- Proven track record of accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
- Knowledge of local tax regulations and accounting standards applicable in Manitoba.
