In this Accounts Payable Clerk role, you will be an essential part of our client’s finance team during their most critical Q1 peak season. This position is perfect for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses strong software proficiency. You will be responsible for managing the full cycle of accounts payable for a prominent organization in the manufacturing & logistics sector, ensuring that cash flow is managed effectively and vendor relationships remain strong. This is a temporary, in-office position that offers the chance to make an immediate impact within a professional and supportive team.
As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will handle a high volume of accounts, managing over 100 vendors and ensuring all payments are processed accurately using Sage 300 and Sage APA. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will play a key role in prioritizing vendor payments during this busy seasonal period. While training on specific internal processes will be provided, our client is specifically looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk who can hit the ground running with prior experience in Sage software.

Responsibilities
• Process full-cycle accounts payable for over 100 active vendors using Sage 300 and Sage APA
• Manage and prioritize vendor payments to ensure optimal cash flow during the peak Q1 season
• Coordinate closely with the Controller to ensure all financial deadlines are met
• Verify and reconcile invoices, ensuring accuracy in data entry and general ledger coding
• Maintain organized digital and physical financial records for audit and reporting purposes
• Communicate professionally with vendors to resolve payment discrepancies or inquiries
• Support the broader finance team during personnel leaves to maintain departmental efficiency
Qualifications
• Proficiency in Sage 300 and Sage APA software
• Strong understanding of accounts payable principles and general accounting practices
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a high-stress environment
• High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Effective communication skills for interacting with internal management and external vendors
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in an in-office setting
