Our client is seeking an Accounts Receivable & Collections Clerk for an exciting temporary-to-permanent opportunity in Brantford, ON. This role is ideal for someone looking for a flexible, part-time schedule (10–15 hours per week) with the potential to grow into a full-time position as the department expands.
In this role, you will be the driving force behind maintaining healthy cash flow for a leader in the manufacturing and logistics sector. Your primary focus will be performing follow-up calls to collect outstanding receivables. This isn't just about "collecting money"; it’s about providing excellent customer care and maintaining the professional reputation of Olofsfors while ensuring financial obligations are met. You will work within a casual, supportive office environment of 5 people, supporting the accounting department during a period of growth.

Responsibilities
• Perform proactive outbound follow-up calls to customers to collect outstanding receivables and past-due accounts.
• Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and customer interactions within the system.
• Provide exceptional customer care by resolving billing discrepancies and answering inquiries regarding invoices.
• Collaborate closely with the accounting lead to prioritize accounts and provide regular status updates.
• Support general business administration tasks within the office as needed.
• Ensure a professional and persistent approach to collections while maintaining positive client relationships.
• Assist with basic data entry and administrative filing to keep account records up to date
Qualifications
• Strong communication skills with a professional and confident phone presence.
• Proficiency in business administration and basic accounting principles.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively within a 10–15 hour weekly schedule.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Persistence and problem-solving skills to navigate various collection scenarios.
• Comfortable working in a casual, small-office environment.
• Willingness to learn—client is happy to train on specific administrative processes
• Previous experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a high-volume phone environment is an asset.
• Strong computer literacy, including experience with email and basic spreadsheets.
• Must be available for in-person work at the Brantford facility.
• Proven track record of reliability and a professional demeanor.
