As an active quality guardian, you will act as a critical bridge between technical development teams, functional analysts, and business stakeholders. Operating entirely onsite, you will validate deep system integrations, manage complete defect lifecycles, and perform structured integration and user acceptance testing to ensure high-performance software delivery within fast-moving retail transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities
Test Planning & Execution
Develop, review, and execute detailed test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios aligned with project timelines and release cycles.
Support Functional, System Integration Testing (SIT), End-to-End (E2E), Regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Validate complex business processes across heavily integrated retail systems, enterprise applications, and middleware platforms.
Participate in formal test readiness assessments and cross-functional defect triage sessions.
Defect Management
Log, track, prioritize, and retest software bugs using Jira, ensuring defects are documented with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
Work closely with business analysts, developers, third-party vendors, and functional teams to drive timely issue resolution.
Support technical root cause analysis and compile defect trend reporting for project leadership.
Retail Systems & Business Process Validation
Validate end-to-end workflows across core retail operational areas, including Order Management, Inventory Management, Warehouse Operations, POS Transactions, Pricing, and Promotions.
Monitor product management, replenishment, and fulfillment streams to ensure data integrity across connected systems.
Apply a strong understanding of retail operational cycles, peak transactional periods, and seasonal testing considerations.
Collaboration & Reporting
Participate in daily testing status stand-ups to provide accurate execution updates and assist in testing metrics reporting.
Support critical release validation, deployment events, and post-deployment verification activities.
Collaborate fluidly with cross-functional business and technical squads to maintain strict delivery discipline.
Qualifications
Core Technical Requirements
Professional QA Tenure: 5+ years of dedicated software testing experience within enterprise-tier environments.
Retail Sector Expertise: 3+ years of hands-on retail industry experience, demonstrating an understanding of store operations, point-of-sale platforms, and supply chain streams.
Specialized Platform Knowledge: Direct, practical experience testing within one or more of the following environments: SAP, Manhattan Active Warehouse Management (MAWM), Blue Yonder (BY) product suite, or GK POS.
Integration & Testing Mastery: Deep proficiency running end-to-end business process validations, integration testing, and UAT utilizing Jira for defect management.
Supply Chain & Enterprise Module Savvy: Functional understanding of Supply Chain structures, Warehouse Management solutions, and standard SAP modules (such as SD, MM, FI).
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a relevant technical discipline.
Preferred Capabilities & Skills
Delivery Frameworks: Experience working in Agile, Hybrid Agile, or traditional Waterfall delivery environments.
Advanced Logistics Asset: Prior experience or familiarity with SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM) is highly desirable.
Operational Software: Familiarity with ServiceNow, automated test frameworks, or enterprise release management protocols.
Work Requirements & Document Conditions
Onsite Engagement: Ability to work 5 days per week onsite in Toronto to foster active collaboration and team alignment.
Deployment Flexibility: Flexibility to support extended hours and weekend work during critical deployment events and system cutover executions.
