Responsibilities
•APIM Environment Management: Maintain, administer, and monitor the existing WSO2 APIM platform in Azure, ensuring high availability and secure operation.
•Migration Planning & Execution: Conduct gap and vendor analysis, recommend a new APIM solution, and execute migration of APIs and integrations to the new platform.
•Development & Deployment: Build, deploy, and maintain APIs in the APIM platform and containers; implement CI/CD pipelines using Git and Azure DevOps.
•Testing & Validation: Validate migrated APIs for functional parity, security compliance, and performance; create acceptance and integrity reports.
•Documentation & Training: Produce technical documentation, runbooks, and training materials; deliver knowledge transfer sessions.
•Reporting & Communication: Provide weekly and monthly status updates, engage stakeholders, and support organizational change management.
Qualifications
•5+ years managing and implementing APIM environments, including technical support and administration.
•Strong experience with WSO2 APIM and Azure platforms.
•Expertise in APIs, microservices, Kubernetes, Docker, Python, Ballerina, Git, and Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines, boards, sprints, repo, test plans).
•Proven experience designing, configuring, testing, and maintaining complex enterprise applications.
•Successful completion of at least two large, complex integration/APIM migrations.
•Familiarity with code promotion and branching strategies in Git and Azure DevOps.
•Solid understanding of secure API design, deployment, and operational best practices.
•Excellent written and verbal communication, including presentations to senior IT leadership.
•Strong stakeholder engagement and organizational change management skills.
•Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or collaboratively.
•Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to manage competing priorities effectively.
•Experience working in Agile methodologies.
