Responsibilities
• Maintain the stability and security of the CDP environment through routine software updates, patch installations, and configurations.
• Manage user access and data audits across various endpoints including Ranger, Virtual Warehouse, and Data Visualization.
• Administer and upgrade Cloudera Data Lake, Data Hub, and Data Warehouse components to ensure peak performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to HDFS, Hive, Impala, and Azure Kubernetes Services.
• Migrate critical applications and data sets between development and production environments.
• Build and optimize data warehouses and data lakes to provide efficient storage for analytical needs.
• Design custom dashboards and reporting tools to transform raw data into meaningful insights for decision makers.
Qualifications
• A university degree or a two year diploma in a related technical discipline from a recognized institution.
• At least 4 years of hands on experience working with Big Data platforms specifically using Cloudera Data Platform.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience managing Azure infrastructure, services, and Kubernetes clusters.
• Direct experience with CDP Public Cloud upgrades, system patching, and Linux OS administration.
• Proven track record in developing data warehouses and using professional reporting tools for business intelligence.
