Our client is looking for a Applications Architect - Senior and this is a Toronto-based hybrid role (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) of 8 months, offering the chance to shape large-scale digital transformation initiatives with a strong focus on ITSM, workflow automation, and enterprise content management.

Responsibilities
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and user-centric SaaS solutions using ServiceNow (ITSM, CSM) and OpenText (ECM, Case Management)
• Develop and maintain solution blueprints, reference models, data flows, and governance frameworks
• Architect hybrid integrations with Azure, SharePoint, ERP systems, and vendor platforms using REST APIs, webhooks, and middleware
• Define configuration standards, identity access models (e.g., Azure AD), metadata structures, and lifecycle management strategies
• Guide implementation teams through sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical validations
• Support cloud-enabled delivery of content and workflow services using OpenText integrations
• Advise on platform selection, licensing strategies, and vendor evaluations
• Ensure compliance with enterprise governance (e.g., GO-ITS), security policies, and digital regulations
• Produce artifacts including: solution architectures, integration designs, workflow models, ADRs, QA checklists, and more
Qualifications
Must Have:
• 8+ years of experience in application/solution architecture, focusing on SaaS modernization
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow (ITSM, CSM) and/or OpenText ECM
• Proven ability to design and manage integrations across SaaS, ERP, procurement, and legacy systems
• Strong experience developing architecture artifacts, metadata schemas, and governance documentation
• In-depth understanding of workflow design, identity federation, and access controls using Azure AD
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, iPaaS platforms, and content lifecycle strategies
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments with cross-functional teams
Nice to Have:
🛠️ ServiceNow System Admin / Implementation Specialist Certification
📦 OpenText Content Server/ECM certification
🧾 Knowledge of ITIL, BPMN, and enterprise workflow modeling
🧩 Experience integrating ServiceNow/OpenText with ERP, procurement, or custom-built apps
🔐 Familiarity with secure digital signatures, audit logging, and compliance tracking
📚 Understanding of Ontario government I&IT directives and metadata governance models
