g for an experienced Architectural Technologist with a sound understanding of the construction industry, architectural design and, national / provincial and local building codes and by-laws. The Architectural Technologist will work closely with Project Managers and clients, aiding them in design concepts and solutions to keep the project within scope and budget.

Responsibilities
• Utilize 2D & 3D drafting and office software
• Generate AutoCAD & REVIT content
• Prepare contract documents, specifications, cost estimates, listings of equipment and materials for the layout of new construction / renovations
• Liaise with clients to ensure the delivery of a concept
• Ensure drawings account for client needs, building code specifications, relevant by-laws and industry best practices, and address issues and concerns as they arise
• Analyze building codes, by-laws, space requirements, site requirements and other technical documents and reports incorporating as required into the contract documents.
• Conduct site visits as required
• Mentor junior team members
Qualifications
• Completion of a diploma or degree in Architectural Technology
• Previous experience in the food industry considered an asset
• Well versed in AutoCAD & REVIT
• An understanding of Building Information Modeling (BIM)
• Demonstrated understanding of architectural theories and principles.
• Strong understanding of Ontario building codes
• Demonstrated knowledge of Architectural graphic standards
• A valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel occasionally, including out of province.
