Responsibilities
· This role is responsible for operating paving equipment, including, rollers, shuttle buggy and skid steers, to lay, smooth, and compact asphalt surfaces
· The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and committed to producing high-quality work
· Operate asphalt paving machines and related equipment to apply asphalt
· Perform routine maintenance and inspections on paving equipment
· Identify and troubleshoot issues with equipment or materials to ensure quality results
· Follow all safety procedures and company policies to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
· Assist with job site preparation and clean-up as needed
· You will be expected to work flexible hours, including day or night shifts and weekends
· Cleaning mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance
· Assisting with other responsibilities for job completion as requested
· Report to the assigned job site ready to begin work at the designated start time.
· Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Manual of Safety Practices and Procedures.
Qualifications
· Previous experience operating asphalt paving equipment (pavers, rollers, skid steers, etc.)
· Knowledge of asphalt paving techniques, compaction, and material properties
· Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Excellent teamwork and communication skills
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
