Responsibilities
In this Assembler role, your daily tasks will focus on the efficient and accurate assembly of products within the manufacturing & logistics facility. You will be expected to:
• Perform assembly operations using various hand tools and power tools to build products according to specifications and blueprints.
• Inspect parts and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and identify any defects immediately.
• Follow all health and safety regulations, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toed boots and safety glasses at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation to ensure a safe and efficient working environment for yourself and your team.
• Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift to keep the production line moving smoothly.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production quotas and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Troubleshoot basic assembly issues and report any mechanical malfunctions to the maintenance team or supervisor.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on new assembly procedures and safety protocols.
• Document production numbers and complete necessary paperwork to track inventory and workflow progress.
Qualifications
To be considered for this Assembler role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience working in a manufacturing plant or similar industrial environment.
• Demonstrated experience using hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for the duration of the shift.
• CSA-approved steel-toed safety boots are required to work on the production floor. •
• Reliable transportation to the Brantford area to ensure consistent attendance.
• A positive attitude and a strong work ethic with a commitment to safety and quality.
• Flexibility to work overtime if required by production demands is an asset.
