This is a full-time, permanent position based at their headquarters in Guelph, Ontario. Your regular work hours will be Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with some flexibility.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities for the Assistant Bookkeeper are;
•Perform detailed data entry using Sage/AccPac
•Maintain accurate financial records, including A/P, A/R, payroll, and general ledger entries
•Reconcile bank and other financial statements
•Process invoices, payments, and expense reports promptly
•Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow statements
•Prepare financial reports (income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements)
•Manage collections for customer accounts
•Assist with budgeting and forecasting
•Maintain vendor and customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
•Prepare and submit quarterly and annual tax filings
•Process ecommerce orders
•Handle bank deposits and credit card payments
•Issue cheques to vendors according to payment terms
•Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company financial policies
•Perform other administrative and assistant duties as required
Qualifications
•Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting/bookkeeping role
•Proficient in Sage and AccPac accounting software
•Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
•Excellent organizational and communication skills
•Detail-oriented with strong analytical and math skills
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
•High standards of ethics and confidentiality
•Positive attitude with strong problem-solving abilities
