Responsibilities
* Partner with senior financial leadership to supervise core accounting functions such as AP, AR, inventory tracking
* Accurate maintenance of GL accounts
* Assist in month end close process
* Credit - a priority of the role will be assessing their credit process (credit policies, payment terms, relationships with banks)
* Collaborate with external auditors
* Provide leadership and guidance to the Accounting team
* Continously identify and implement ways to reduce manual tasks and improve financial accuracy and speed
* Tax filings
Qualifications
* Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
* CPA designation highly preferred
* In depth knowledge of Canadian GAAP
* Large ERP systems experience
* Proficient with Excel
* Demonstrated leadership skills
* Exceptional organizational and communication skills
* Analytical mindset
* Prior experience in the distribution industry within a National, mulit-location, organization
