Responsibilities
Enterprise-Scale Administration: Provide expert-level administration and configuration for Jira Cloud, JSM, and Confluence.
On-Call Support: Serve as a key escalation point during your on-call rotation, triaging and resolving critical system issues to minimize user impact.
Advanced Automation: Develop, maintain, and debug custom automations and scripts using ScriptRunner and Python (leveraging REST APIs) to streamline complex processes.
Jira Configuration: Design, implement, and manage complex Jira configurations, including workflows, custom fields, permission schemes, and issue-level security.
Identity Management: Manage user access and permissions, ensuring seamless integration with identity providers like Azure AD (Entra).
JSM & Customer Support: Collaborate directly with customers and internal teams to design, configure, and optimize JSM service desks to meet business requirements.
DevOps Practice: Utilize Git and GitHub for version control of scripts and configurations (managing branching, pull requests, and Git fundamentals).
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on administration experience with Jira Cloud and Jira Service Management (JSM).
Scale: Proven track record supporting a large-scale Jira Cloud instance (5,000+ users required; 10,000+ strongly preferred).
Scripting & Automation:
Strong scripting skills using ScriptRunner for Jira.
Demonstrated experience with Python development, specifically for automation and REST API integrations.
Technical Stack:
Proficiency in Confluence administration and its integration with Jira.
Solid understanding and practical experience with Git and GitHub.
Experience with Azure AD / Entra (or similar IdP) integration for user management.
Atlassian Tools: Prior administration experience with Atlassian Analytics, Jira Product Discovery, and Compass.
Support: Direct experience providing on-call support for an enterprise-scale application.
Education: Bachelor's Degree.

Experience with large-scale migrations (especially Cloud-to-Cloud) or consolidations.
Deep knowledge of Atlassian Access, SAML SSO, and advanced user management.

Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Opsgenie, PagerDuty).
