As the Technical Service Representative, you will be far more than just a support contact; you will be a critical partner to your clients. You will be responsible for educating body shop personnel on a comprehensive line of automotive refinish products, ensuring they understand the procedures and best practices to achieve flawless results. This role requires a hands-on, credible professional who can confidently step into a paint booth, troubleshoot a complex colour match, or resolve a material application challenge. Your expertise will directly contribute to the quality, efficiency, and success of your customers' businesses.
You must have at least five years of direct automotive paint experience, backed by formal certifications. Your ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and patiently is just as important as your hands-on painting skills. This is a field position that requires a valid driver's license and a clean driver's abstract.

Responsibilities
-Educate body shop personnel on specific product lines, correct application procedures, and industry best practices.
-Troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of customer issues, including complex colour match challenges and material application problems.
-Collaborate closely with Sales Representatives to perform engaging and effective product demonstrations for potential and new customers.
-Install, demonstrate, and support refinish paint systems at customer locations, ensuring proper setup and training.
-Work with internal operations and branch teams to ensure customer fulfillment expectations and service level agreements are consistently met.
-Complete all administrative reporting accurately and within established timelines, including documenting all value-added activities in Salesforce.com.
-Travel overnight within Manitoba and Saskatchewan for approximately one week per quarter to service and support the territory.
Qualifications
-Trade school, college, and/or paint certification(s) in a relevant, industry-related discipline.
-A minimum of 5+ years of direct, hands-on automotive paint or refinish experience.
-A valid Driver's License and an acceptable Driver's Abstract are conditions of employment.
-Must be able to pass a clear criminal background check.
-Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs as required.
-Exceptional customer service skills with a professional, positive, and determined "can-do" attitude.
-Proven ability as a "good listener" to actively understand customer needs and technical challenges before offering solutions.
-Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
-A credible and hands-on demeanor that builds immediate trust with customers and peers.
-ICAR certification is considered a strong asset.
