Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Automation equipment and Plant systems, detect equipment malfunctions, and adjust machines to ensure efficiency and quality of production.
- Perform emergency troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Inspect, repair, and calibrate automation equipment including PLCs and robotic devices.
- Ensure continuous operation of production lines by diagnosing and addressing issues swiftly.
- Maintain accurate inventory of spare parts.
- Create periodic reports on machine inspections, issues, and resolutions.
- Document equipment performance and maintenance activities in the CMMS.
- Prepare recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements.
Qualifications
-Experience working in an automated environment
-Experience PLC programming and troubleshooting PLCs- Allen Bradley an asset
-Stellar blueprint reading skills
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- 5-10 years of hands-on experience in automation, ideally in a manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of fluid power, manufacturing processes, and industrial electronics.
- Ability to detect, isolate, and identify irregularities and malfunctions in machinery and equipment including controls and pneumatics
- Ability to fabricate new parts to replace defective parts during machine setup, maintenance, or overhaul.
- Ability to operate a variety of equipment – Forklift, Scissor Lift, Sky- jack
