Position Title: Automotive Service Technician
Location: Burnaby, BC
Permanent full-time opportunity
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Shifts: 8-hour shifts starting between 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM
Wage: $40-$45/H
Trades Certification: Journeyman or Red Seal / Licensed Automotive Technician certification
Previous experience is required

Responsibilities
Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on fleet and internal vehicles with accuracy and efficiency
Complete and review repair orders with service advisors, clearly explaining additional service needs
Collaborate with service staff and management to ensure timely completion of work
Deliver high-quality workmanship that meets or exceeds industry standards
Protect vehicle interiors using appropriate coverings and cleanliness protocols
Assist with other related duties as needed
Qualifications
Red Seal / Licensed Automotive Technician certification
Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
Minimum 2 years of industry experience
Complete personal tool set
Preferred Skills & Attributes:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Proficiency in technical diagnostics and basic computer systems
Detail-oriented with a focus on customer satisfaction
Positive attitude and ability to adapt in a fast-paced setting
Physical & Environmental Demands:
You are able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and perform physical tasks such as bending, crouching, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
Frequent use of hands and fingers for handling tools, parts, and diagnostic equipment.
Work performed in a shop environment with potential exposure to noise, moving vehicles, engine fluids, and mechanical/electrical systems.
Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols.
Visual acuity and strong attention to detail are essential for accurate inspections and repairs.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, occasionally high-pressure setting while maintaining quality standards.
