This is a permanent, full-time role designed for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a precision fabrication environment.
As a B-Pressure Welder, you will work closely with the fabrication team and report to the Welding Supervisor to accurately and safely weld pressure piping and specialized components.

Schedule: 4x10 Monday to Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Enjoy a 3-day weekend!)

Wage: $42.00 to $50.00+ per hour (Based on specialized skillset and experience)

Responsibilities
What will you be doing?
Precision Welding: Perform high-quality welding utilizing GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG), SMAW (Stick), and MCAW processes.
Collaboration: Follow work instructions closely as directed by the Welding Supervisor or Lead Hand to meet daily production targets.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all completed welds rigidly meet company tolerances, specifications, and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
Safety Leadership: Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, maintaining a clean and hazard-free shop workstation.
Blueprint Interpretation: Read and accurately interpret complex shop drawings and blueprints for precise fitting and layout.
Material Handling: Safely operate standard shop equipment including overhead cranes, forklifts, manlifts, and rigging tools when required.
Qualifications
What are we looking for in a candidate?
Certification: Valid Alberta Journeyman Welding Certificate AND a valid B-Pressure Welding Certificate.
Advanced Technical Skill: Exceptional TIG welding capabilities, with a strong preference for ambidextrous TIG experience (using both hands).
Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years of pressure piping welding experience is highly preferred; experience with Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) is an asset.
Testing Readiness: Ability to successfully pass a practical shop weld test (including a 3” Sch 80 roll weld and a 3” Sch 80 5G position weld in a custom jig).
