In this critical role, you will bridge the gap between business vision and technical execution within a growing development organization. You will partner closely with engineering teams, traders, and risk professionals to deliver high-impact trading, risk, and trade lifecycle technology solutions. Operating in a fast-paced, Agile environment, you will drive business analysis, lead project delivery initiatives, support control and audit frameworks, and leverage modern AI productivity tools to accelerate project execution.

Responsibilities
Business & Technical Analysis: Gather, refine, and translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for Canadian fixed income and rates trading platforms.
Project Management & Execution: Drive project delivery within an Agile framework, facilitating team workflows, managing project timelines, and ensuring key deliverables are met on time.
Data Validation & Analytics: Utilize SQL to perform deep data analysis, source-to-target mapping, trade data reconciliation, and technical validations.
Trade Lifecycle & Platform Operations: Oversee trade processing, PnL, and risk valuation workflows across vendor software platforms and market infrastructure.
Audit, Risk & Controls: Support internal and external audit requirements by preparing control documentation, evidence gathering, and ensuring compliance standard adherence.
Workflow Optimization: Actively integrate AI productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT) into daily business analysis, project documentation, and operational tasks.
Qualifications
Must-Have Requirements:
- Experience: 5–8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Capital Markets environments, with at least 3–5 years of hands-on Project Management responsibilities.
- Domain Expertise: Strong functional knowledge across Bonds, Rates, Credit, and Mortgages products, including an understanding of PnL, risk measures, and valuation concepts.
- Technical Skills: Advanced SQL proficiency for data validation and analysis.
- Methodology: Hands-on experience working in Agile software development environments (exposure to SAFe / Program Increment (PI) Planning is strongly preferred).
- AI Productivity Skills: Proficiency in applying AI productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT) to optimize business analysis, documentation, and operational workflows.
- Vendor & Lifecycle Experience: Demonstrated familiarity with vendor trading platforms, trade lifecycle processing, and audit control environments.
Desired Qualifications / Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with key financial platforms (e.g., Bloomberg TOMS, Broadridge, MHUB).
- Knowledge of Canadian market clearing and execution venues (e.g., TMX, CCMS, CDS, FMCNET).
- Basic Python or scripting abilities for data analysis and task automation.
- Familiarity with regulatory and accounting frameworks such as FRTB, SA-CCR, IFRS 9/CECL, or mortgage analytics.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CFA, FRM, SAFe, CSM, or PSM.
