Responsibilities
• Accurately prepare, weigh, and mix raw materials (including resins and pigments) according to specific mix sheets and batch guidelines.
• Safely operate a counterbalance forklift to select, pick, and transport required raw materials to your weigh station and mixing work area.
• Identify and verify source identification numbers and product descriptions to guarantee precise material selection and batch accuracy.
• Perform thorough cleanings of containers, general mixing areas, industrial mixers, and filling stations between production runs.
• Maintain general housekeeping, clean production lines, and organize storage racking across the weigh station and mixing floor.
• Safely handle and dispose of excess chemical waste and cabin powder following company environmental and safety protocols.
• Document internal stock transfers, monitor item counts, and liaise with the material controller to ensure an uninterrupted flow of inventory.
• Perform manual handling and heavy lifting of products, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent credential.
• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing, batching, industrial chemical mixing, or warehouse environment.
• Valid license or proven experience operating a counterbalance forklift / lift truck.
• Physical capability to repeatedly lift, move, and handle production materials weighing up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.
• Ownership of steel-toed safety boots and commitment to wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Reliable personal transportation or daily commute strategy to the facility site in Guelph, ON.
• Legal authorization to work full-time in Canada.
