Exact compensation will be based on skills and experience.
Key activities and deliverables:
Build and improve ETL (extract, transform and load) pipelines in support of data aggregation, quality, and movement
Implement data security processes, such as keeping access tokens updated
Ensure data is ingestible and usable in reporting visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, Meta, or PowerBI
Qualified candidates will have:
5+ years of work experience in data science, engineering or analytics roles
Skill developing with python and an Object Oriented programming language (Java, C#)
Bachelor degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or Math, or equivalent experience
Experience with AWS (Amazon web services) offerings, including EMR, S3 and EC2
Strong database and query language experience, leveraging event-driven data
Experience handling large data volumes
Drive to thrive in a complex environment with a hands-on approach to problem solving
Preferred candidates will have:
Current knowledge on the latest technologies in data science, BI and/or data management
Practical experience with agile development practices and egoless programming
Strong programming skill with Java and/or GoLang
Experience with Hadoop Ecosystem including Spark, HDFS, Hive, Kafka, Sqoop and Hbase
Experience with Luigi pipelines for moving data between HDFS (Hadoop Distributed File System) and RDBMS (Relational Database Management System)
Experience in mobile or social analytics and mobile/social game industries (though interesting perspectives from other industries are also appreciated)
Masters or PhD in relevant field or equivalent experience
