As a Technical Trainer, you will be the cornerstone of competency for both internal teams and external customers, splitting your time between classroom theory and hands-on demonstrations.
The Opportunity
Location: Based in Burlington, ON (with domestic travel).
Travel: 40%–50% domestic travel (Canada)
The Mission: Transition from the field to the front of the classroom. You will lead onsite training for new hires and develop advanced competency programs for seasoned inspectors and operators.

Responsibilities
-Instructional Leadership: Deliver engaging classroom and hands-on training focusing on crane operation, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
-Curriculum Development: Collaborate with international peers to update and refine instructional materials, ensuring they meet evolving industry standards.
-Evaluation: Administer assessments to ensure proficiency and track the effectiveness of the training programs.
-Field Resource: Act as the "go-to" technical expert for field questions and assist with safety training initiatives.
-Cross-Border Synergy: Serve as a vital link between Canadian and US technical teams, ensuring alignment in training quality and standards.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who "speaks the lingo" and can command the respect of experienced technicians.
-Experience: Minimum of 5 years maintaining and servicing overhead and/or mobile cranes (experience with industry competitors is a significant asset).
-Education: Trade school degree or equivalent industrial field experience.
-Bilingualism: Fluency in English and French (written and spoken) is mandatory.
-Communication: Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex electrical and mechanical concepts for diverse audiences.
-Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for material development.
