We are currently recruiting for a contract position for a Billing Clerk in the Burlington area. This position is a half month contract with the potential to be extended further. This position supports the Credit Department to ensure correcting billing data is entered into system, verifying and correcting billing discrepancies, and processing customer data.
The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, experience working with and learning billing systems, and intermediate to advance skills with MS Excel and Word (ability to sort, filter and input data). This roles requires someone who is detail oriented, organized, and open to help where needed.

Responsibilities
- Maintain accounts master data and make necessary changes to customer contact info. Update all address, phone, personnel changes, once validated. Record all activity on an account andmaintain documentation.
- Open and set up coding for new accounts, update existing accounts, create sold to and ship to accounts in ERP and follow up for coding and pricing.
- Responsible for monthly reporting distribution to Branch Managers.
- Customer Contact—handle and distribute inquiries as needed, customer inquiries on statement or invoice issues and assist Collectors with large volume requests.
- Legal files—submit accounts to third party or escalation channels as required
- Maintain alphabetized account files, physical and digital filing required
- Code and deposit cheques daily, light cash applications duties if needed during busy periods or vacation coverage.
- Create and maintain a team atmosphere and ensure employee concerns are resolved promptly.
- Communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
- Understand and adhere to ISO policies and procedures.
- Participate in conferences, seminars, and other educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintain and participate in professional networks to enhance your knowledge and skills.
- Participates on committees and special projects as requested.
- Additional administrative duties as necessary
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of billing/administrative/Accounts Receivable experience within a multiple location environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 package, Excel intermediate level (ability to sort, filter, and input data)
- Strong data entry skills, with a focus on accuracy
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
