Validate Billing Data: Check and verify third-party carrier/vendor charges and operational activity data (such as shipments, surcharges, and returns) to ensure total accuracy before invoices are generated.
Perform Data Quality Audits: Run recurring "sanity checks" across high-volume order and shipment data feeds to flag anomalies, calculate their financial impact, and coordinate with stakeholders to fix them.
Build Advanced Excel Workbooks: Develop and maintain complex billing templates using Power Query, pivot tables, and advanced formulas to format large datasets for system uploads.
Enforce Billing Controls: Maintain master data integrity, including the upkeep of rate cards, customer profiles, and tax/exemption settings to ensure clean invoicing and compliance.
Investigate Revenue Issues: Conduct thorough root-cause analysis on systemic revenue leakage and issues like missing orders, rating errors, duplicate charges, or integration breaks.
Track Revenue KPIs: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as billing timeliness, financial adjustments, revenue leakage, and dispute rates using dashboards.
Support System Upgrades: Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), reconciliation testing, and go-live validation for new billing systems, ERP upgrades (such as SAP), or customer portals.
Drive Process Automation: Design and manage automated workflows (using RPA or low-code tools) to eliminate manual data preparation, accelerate invoice cycle times, and handle system exceptions.
Manage Month-End Close: Support the finance team with month-end close activities, including enforcing billing cut-offs, performing financial reconciliations, and assisting with revenue accruals.
Resolve AR Disputes: Investigate and settle Accounts Receivable (AR) disputes by gathering evidence like shipment proofs and rate tables, partnering directly with Sales and Operations to resolve customer issues quickly.
Qualifications
Education: Degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in billing, Accounts Receivable (AR), or Order-to-Cash (O2C) cycles.
Industry Preference: Experience working within e-commerce, logistics, supply chain, or other high-volume transactional environments is highly preferred.
