Responsibilities
Set up, program, and operate CNC and manual brake press machines to form and bend metal parts.
Read and interpret detailed engineering blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine project specifications.
Select, install, and align correct tooling and dies required for each specific job.
Perform quality control inspections on finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and protractors to ensure they meet exact tolerances.
Make necessary adjustments to machine settings to maintain part quality and consistency throughout production runs.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the brake press and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Troubleshoot issues with machinery and production processes, identifying and resolving problems to minimize downtime.
Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Handle raw materials and finished components safely and efficiently.
Maintain accurate production records and documentation as required.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum of 2 years of direct experience operating a brake press machine in a manufacturing setting.
A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are mandatory, as the location is not accessible by public transportation.
Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and a proven safety record.
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
