Responsibilities
Precision Forming & Setup: Responsible for the complete setup and accurate operation of the hydraulic brake press machine. This includes loading tooling and programming controls to bend, form, and shape various metal components precisely according to job specifications.
Technical Interpretation: Fluently reading and accurately interpreting complex technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to calculate bend allowances, determine optimal machine parameters, and ensure part integrity.
Quality Assurance & Inspection: Conducting detailed quality control checks on finished parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, protractors, height gauges) to verify adherence to strict tolerance and quality standards.
Equipment Reliability: Performing necessary routine maintenance, preventative checks, and basic troubleshooting on the brake press to ensure consistent, optimal machine performance and minimize operational delays.
Workplace Safety & Organization: Maintaining a focused adherence to all company health and safety procedures and actively ensuring the workspace is clean, organized, and conducive to efficient, safe manufacturing.
Qualifications
Experience: Previous experience operating a Brake Press (CNC or Manual) is required.
Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings confidently.
Measurement Knowledge: Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, and standard gauges.
Physical Ability: Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
Reliability: Strong attendance record and reliable transportation to Stratford, Ontario.
