Responsibilities
• Develop and recommend comprehensive sales strategies and marketing objectives, including accurate sales volume and profit forecasts for the district.
• Maintain and aggressively develop sales and profit objectives with assigned key accounts within the electrical distribution sector.
• Maintain accurate customer service measurement criteria and take appropriate action to ensure strict compliance with quality standards.
• Prepare and manage work schedules to ensure workflow for all areas, including counter sales and inside sales functions, is adequately staffed.
• Hire, train, and mentor branch personnel in accordance with company standards, fostering a culture of business administration excellence.
• Promote and actively maintain a positive, collaborative, and fast-paced work climate within the branch.
• Ensure proper implementation and application of company policies and procedures, specifically regarding inventory control, delivery, billing, collections, and security.
• Keep meticulous track of products to determine causes for discrepancies between inventory counts and stock control records, and recommend remedial action.
• Step up to assist the team in various branch duties, demonstrating a hands-on and accountable leadership approach.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of related experience specifically within the electrical distribution industry.
• At least 2 to 3 years of direct management or supervisory experience in a similar fast-paced environment.
• College education in business administration, management, or a combination of relevant education and industry experience.
• Proven, hands-on experience in the sale of electrical products and a deep understanding of industry dynamics.
• Willingness to work entirely on-site in Markham, Ontario, for 5 days a week.
• Ability to occasionally participate in annual physical inventory counts as required by branch operations.
• Strong track record of stable tenure, accountability, and professional growth in previous roles.
• Exceptional business administration skills and business acumen to analyze financial reports and develop implementation strategies.
• Strong leadership and supervisory capabilities with a track record of driving sales strategies and meeting fiscal targets.
• Highly outgoing, competitive, and accountable personality with a distinct winning attitude.
• Excellent proficiency in MS Office applications for daily business administration tasks.
• Familiarity with ERP and CRM systems, specifically AS400 and Microsoft Dynamics, is considered a strong asset.
